  1. I encoded an XVID (23.976 FPS)avi film too CBRMpeg -1 layer2 useing TMPGenc, to be burned to dvd. The ending result is the picture slightly pauses every few minutes! And it drives me absolutley nuts!

    My Settings were:
    Non interlace,
    4:3 525 ntsc aspect ratio
    Video source was film movie
    Inverse telecine was checked

Does anyone know what i did wrong, to make this happen!

It seems to happen with movies i convert useing TMPGEnc, so i assume it must be the way i am setting it to encode..

If someone can give me a little guidance, i would great ly appreciate it

    Thanks!

what did you play it on????
What did you burn it onto???
Was it some standard you kept yourself to ?? ( perhaps vcd?)
More details would help solve the problem
Anyone tired of his old DVD burner? Why put it into the trash? Contact me! :))))

  3. I played it on my home dvd player....RCA, also played it on my PC with power DVD, and both showed the same problem!

I authored with ULead, and Burned it too DVD+R useing Nero.

    Thanks

  4. I have had the exact same problems with a Ulead encoded divx conversion, burned with both the Ulead software, and Nero.

I'm going to try to take that mpg file and see if I can author it with something else... Hopefully it'll fix the glitches.

I am going to bet that the pauses come with a slowness in the video for a half second or so after the pause, correct? Mine also has a brief pop or drop out of audio at the same place..

Some burns do it every few minutes, some every 10 or so minutes..

Just for info: I used my TDK 420 burner, Memorex & Fuji DVD+R's. Played on a Apex 1500 & a Sony S300, as well as my in PC dvd reader.
