  1. first of all. do you need a dvd burner to burn a mpg file onto a dvd-r?

    help plz! dvd-r
    ok i joined my 2 mpegs into 1.
    i used tmpgenc to convert the 2 avis to mpegs in the begging.
    i converted them as vcd ntsc mpeg-1 file with tmpgenc under the 48 kHz for the audio and thats it.
    the file is joined together now at 821mb.
    i have a few dvd-r i just bought with 4.7gb on each one.
    i was wondering waht program i can download to burn this vcd ntsc mpeg-1 file to a dvd-r.

    yes you need a dvd burner to burn a dvd disk


    as for the rest of your question - i dont understand it ..

  3. Yes....it doesn't matter WHAT format or WHAT you're burning....if you're burning to a DVD-R....you HAVE TO HAVE a DVD burner.

  4. There are several DVD burning programs. Record Now Max, Nero, and Easy CD & DVD Creator 6 are just a few of the programs that will burn to DVDs. In order to burn to a DVD-R disk, the MPEG file must be MPEG2, which is the format for DVDs. There are several programs that will convert MPEG1 files to MPEG2 files. Unfortunately, the conversion takes a large amount of time, depending on the size of the file. Hope this helps!

    you accually can burn mpeg1 to dvd -- mpeg1 (as long as its in the correct format) is compliant dvd stream -- the key is , that it is in the correct format ..
