Anyone seen this?
I just rebuilt my capture machine (W2K), installed my Radeon 7500 drivers and loaded VirtualDub w/ the VFWWrapper. Everything works fine for capturing EXCEPT there is no option for capturing audio at 48 KHz, just goes up to 44.1. Did I forget something?

OK don't all answer at once
I solved the problem anyway - I needed a codec (I think). My reasoning is as follows: On my freshly-rebuilt machine I only had the ATI-supplied codecs, which only go up to 44.1 KHz. So I installed a bundle of components that I knew included an audio codec and wallah! I can cap at 48 KHz. Unfortunately I installed a bunch of stuff I don't need (Gordian Knot / DivX codecs from Doom9) and the point of my rebuilding exercise was to eliminate extraneous "stuff" that might interfere with the cap process.
If I was to do this over (I ghosted the machine before I started installing capturing software) can anyone point me to a good, easily available (read "free") audio codec(s)?
Replies GREATLY appreciated-

I haven't used W2k for a few months, but as I recall, I installed Windows Media Encoder to enable 48Khz audio.

Well thats the best answer I've gotten all day
I'll try it. In case anyone else is researching this issue and finds this message, here's the download link:

Thanks again Andie41. Anyone else have a preferred audio codec (for capturing audio/video)?
