  1. my movie has jay leno vision. how do i fix that with a free tool like virtualdub or avisynth.

  4. hmmm. how do i explain it? imagine that these brackets [ ] are one frame of video. imagine there's a face in those brackets represaented here by forward and backslashes: [/ \], or in my case [\ /]

  5. If you are familiar with Adobe Premiere, you can use "distortion" and it may fix your clip.

    In Premiere 5.5 (yeah it's a little old) it's found in the Clip menu. Have your clip selected in the timeline (the 'marching ants' marquee should be surrounding it). Go to the Clip menu, then Video and then Motion. In this window the upper portion controls movement for your clip and the bottom part controls distortion, rotation and zoom. You can use the distortion operation to correct the bad angle of your clip by dragging on the corners of the image. Make sure to set the Start and End of the Motion part of the window to center so that no real movement will occur (select the Start position and press the Center button, select the End position and press the Center button). This does have limitations (you can pull out the corners only so much). Re-render your clip and you're done.
