Freakin Errors burning dvds

Ok, Im starting to really get frustrated.

I have followed the guides, and cannot burn..

using record now max, I get the following error - (IT NEVER TOUCHES THE DAMN BLANK DISC.)

Data Job Untitiled 1 Terminated with errors.
Error - 10 at Sector 1 - Command: 2A Sense:05 ASC2C ASCQ:00


What the Hell does that mean, and how do i fix it? I can burn regular cd media all day long, but nary a single dvd??!

How are your drives configured? i.e. IDE 1 or 2, Master or Slave...

IDE Chain 1 - 100 gig EIDE (Only drive in the chain)
IDE Chain 2 - Drive 1 MASTER - Liteon DVD reader
IDE Chain 2 - Drive 2 SLAVE - Sony DRU500a

Per the post you list, I will re-arrange the drives, and give it a shot.

this is how I have my configured sonydru500ax

open dvddecrypter and put in the media then press 'R' for read iso and see if it tells you the manufacturer and rated speed of the blank dvd media.

I assume you are attempting to burn in Data mode, a VIDEO_TS and AUDIO-TS ALL CAPS [very important all caps] folders, if so and still problem. Try this, make an image with IMGtool and burn as a image in RNM. I have seen some problems arise from using data mode with RNM and this has always solved the problem for me. Using Image you made from folders.
PROCESS: RNM close wizard choose >Image >add Files> change file type to all or ISO/IMAGE > choose Image you made >add> and >Record

Ok - Change my config a tad, removed the reader, so:

Chain 1 - 100gig EIDE
Chain 2 - Sony dru500a - MASTER

Now, nero gives me

"invalid field in command
Could not perform start of Disc-At-Once"

ARG!!!
