did you read the manual?
His name was MackemX
What kind of a man are you? The guy is unconscious in a coma and you don't have the guts to kiss his girlfriend? -
yeah, that would be depressing to spend that much on software and not be able to figure out how to use it
-
you dont burn with maestro unless you have a pioneer a201 burner or you can make a DLT tape for mastering purposes .. (or make a img file is a good plan)
i suggest you read through the 350 page manual first and practise making up some dvd projects .. -- maybe call your dealer for some training .. -
also -- for real time preview .. you need cinemaster decoder drivers or the cinemaster hardware decoder
the card came with the program -- the software is no longer made though there are some variances on it that work .. -

Lucky you...
For people like me (salary: 600 euros) the solution is only one: TMPG Author. The only alternative: the -still buggy- DVDlab. -

Gentlemen, forgive my cynicism, but anyone who could afford to drop $3000 + on a piece of software should be able to :
1.spell (read some CCE forum questions one day)
2.use the above to READ the “F’n” USER MANUAL
As for using it to ‘back up’ DVD’s ………………Damm if I had $3000+ to blow it wouldn't be used for “backing up DVD’s”
$3000 buys a whole lot of originals.

well i cant spell very well at all- but then again i dont use maestro to back up dvd's -- but to create them in the first place so you people can back them up ..

If you go under "How To" and then "DVD RIP" and choose the "DVD 2 DVDR for Dummies" guide (not to insinuate anything), you will find a simple example of an authoring process with Maestro. You can also search the other guides (some dedicated entirely to DVD Maestro) and find even more info on settings and uses. As far as the "Realtime preview" not enabled, it's not a huge deal. It just means you can't actually watch (preview) the movie before you compile it, but you can still see all your chapter points, and the program still functions normally otherwise!
Good Luck -
The best way I found for single PGC titles, for me anyway, Trilight has some very good stuff. He also has other more advanced guides for multiple PGC titles but with scenarist. A little overwhelming at first but after a few projects it should all fall in place. Are you doing DV because this a hard way just for BU your DVDs, with things like IC7 and others out there?
Good Luck
