  1. The new STUDIO QUARTET product from Ulead ships on June 1st (next week) according to the information in the press release:

    http://www.ulead.com/aboutulead/pressproducts/sq/runme.htm

This new product bundle includes all of Ulead's top pro-level packages:

    - MEDIASTUDIO PRO 7.0

    - PHOTOIMPACT 8.0

    - DVD WORKSHOP (pro-level DVD authoring)

    - Cool 3D Production Studio

...all on a single DVD disc...

...as far as I know this is the first time a software company has released such a suite of tools on a DVD.

Of course, that means a DVD drive is required to install.

How much do Ulead pay you?
    Regards,

    Rob

  3. Probably more than they spend on R+D of their products that's for sure. I can only imagine the price tag on this monstrosity, not to mention the HD space it'll take up. I'll NEVER EVER buy another Ulead product.

  4. Quote from Uleads website:
"StudioQuartet is slated to ship June 1st, 2003 for US$795 for the first 90 days and US$895 thereafter."

Actually not a bad price but if I had my "drothers"I would choose Vegas Video 4+DVD.

  5. What's the point ? All the Ulead DVD products screw up the sync in videos and they don't even have a propert support forum. Ulead should spend more effort on fixing their software than packaging it.

  6. Don't forget that they have NO toll free support for their products and even if you DO spend the money to make a long distance call, the help you get is worthless. I actually had a so-called "tech" tell me to use an outside product as their encoders were substandard. Now that's what I call a bargain. They need to fire their techs, get someone in there that KNOWS what they are talking about and at least be up front to customers about their products.

  7. The Ulead products, in my experience, are excellent.

I have more than a decade of professional broadcast experience.

Worked for nearly a decade at Idaho's leading television station.

Also worked for seven years in video production & community relations at the City of Boise.

Success with Ulead products (and many other products on the market) is often directly related to the skill of the user.

Highly skilled user = SUCCESS WITH ULEAD PRODUCTS.

Less experienced user = PROBLEMS WITH ALL PRODUCTS.

    My two cents.

  8. You have to be kidding me. SO now I am the unskilled one? Then oh mighty Ulead master dod their "tech" TELL ME TO USE AN OUTSIDE ENCODER? He told me that not a 1 of ulead's products can encode svcd's without audio sync problems. So please tell me then what I am doing wrong all knowing one.

Ulead produces multimedia software for users of all levels. Whether you're into video editing, DVD authoring, photo editing, or Web design, we have the software to meet your needs.
Doesn't say anything about having to be 'highly skilled'.

Here's another 'impartial' review of Ulead products:

The biggest mistake you can make is to underestimate others' capabilities.
