  1. I downloaded three audio files and can't hear any sound. I loaded them in Virtual Dub and the file imformation says they are DivX 4.12. I had DivX 5 installed already and it wouldn't play the audio for these files. I went out and downloaded/installed the 4.12 DivX but still no sound. I open the file in Windows Media PLayer and it says the codec can't be found. The files I downloaded end with the word postx if that means anything. Can anyone assist?

    Thanks!

Divx is a video codec, you apparently need an audio codec. Get Gspot from the Tools section of this site and test your file. It will tell you the required audio and video codecs and if you have them installed. 8)

  3. Thanks, that utility did the trick. Sorry about the audio/video mix-up. I probably should have stuck to the newbie section! Thanks again for the help!
