WINTV PVR250 / No custom settings

Can anybody help with this?

I bought the Hauppauge WINTV PVR250 and would like to record Half DVD 352x480 at about 5Mbit/sec. However, the software doesn't let me save such settings. I can just copy a profile but no changes that I make are saved.

Enable the advanced settings with this register file

You don't need to enable it, it should all ready be enable.
Yes go to SHSPVR look under How to Use find your way to "How to make custom MPEG 1, 2 recording" also you want read and get this

Problem solved! Kind of weird that the "Apply" button stays grayed out and that I have to save the new settings under a new name as the last step. But I had read a lot of posts about the crappy software.

okey...the pvr 250 didn't have same settings as my pvr only.
