Canopus MPEGPro_EMR and Canopus MPEGPro_MVR two question's

These two capture card's are there any timer's for these card to capture TV show's? Second the " Advanced pre-filtering with 3D Y/C separation, 3D noise reduction and frame synchronization" . Does this mean it will clean up noise from VHS tape's for remastering? Thank you
