    I am going to buy this unit soon to convert all my homemade VHS and 8mm tapes to digital. The Canopus ADVC300 comes with a non-defeatable TBC if I read the reviews correctly. That's okay, I plan on using it anyway.

    However, my JVC VCR also has TBC, should I enable it during my copies, or leave it off?

    To call the device on the Canopus a TBC is a real stretch of the term.
