  1. Hi There,

I'm new here & my name is Johnathan.
Not sure where I should post this question & will appreciate all the help I can get.
I've been using the Canopus DV Storm 2 since the mid 90s.
It has worked extremely well all these years except that it gets tricky each time
I upgrade the system or do a fresh OS install.
It will take sometime to figure out how to get the system to recognise the hardware
& have the drivers properly loaded & accepted by the system but once that is achieved,
it will be plain sailing till the next system upgrade or OS install.
I've now upgraded my system & switched OS from XP Pro to Windows 7 64 bit.
I'm having trouble getting the drivers to be accepted by the system & am now unable to
use the DV Storm 2. I'm crossing my fingers that some of the good people here are DV Storm 2 users & may have
come across the same problems I'm having but have the knowledge to overcome this problem.
Will appreciate any help I can get coming my way.
The following are my computer details:-
    OS Windows 7 64 bit
    CPU Intel Core™ i7-870 2.93GHz
    Motherboard - Socket 1156 Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD3P
    Graphics - Gigabyte GV-N460OC-1GI GTX460 1GB
    Ram OCZ 2GB X 4
C Drive WD 500 GB Black edition partitioned with D
    External WD 1 TB
    Thank you all in advance.

    Best regards,
    Johnathan.

Check the Canopus support site (now Grass Valley) to see if they have drivers for Win 7 64 bit.

Good luck with that. Don't toss your XP machine.

Or consider dual boot with XP/Win7.

  3. Hi edDV,

I did download whatever drivers there was available at the Grass Valley site but could not get the card to work.
Guess I have to keep searching.
    Thanks for your input.

    Regards,
    Johnathan.

    Johnathan.
You will need to dual boot to XP to keep that card working. Or, try the "Run as" XP in Win7.
