What is the best program for encoding?

I have mainconcept's encoder and it's pretty good. But are there any other ones out there that are faster/better?

i suggest you do a search here and look at apx. 15,000 posts on this subject and the only thing agreed apon is that no one encoder is "best" at all things ..

if you bought the main concept encoder -- you should be happy w/ it as its very fast and produces excellent quality w/ the correct settings ..

Faster/better ...those are steps in the opposite direction.

If you want better, be prepared to live with slower.

If you can deal with slow and have the money for it, you cant go wrong with canopus procoder.
