  1. The subject says it all, really.
I've gone through several encoding progs in my day, but only recently have I had the need for a batch encoder (the only free processing time I have on my PC these days is while I'm sleeping!).
My favourite programs don't feature batch encoding however - can you guys recommend any that you enjoy? I'm starting with VOBs and going to DivX (no version preference). Ideally I'd like to not have to manually take apart the VOBs into video/audio (DVD2AVI or something then to a 2nd program) as that would kind of delete the point of needing an overnight encoder.
    Ideas? Thoughts?

    Thanks,
    Dan

Drdivx will do batch encoding, I found it kinda slow but the resulting video was great. I found it necessary to use dvd2avi to extract/normalise the soundtrack from the vobs first as Drdivx has no option for this. Free 15 day trial here
