SVCD --> Avi?

Okay i have an svcd i want to make it into an avi merge the two parts then convert it to dvd-r, Converting it to dvdr isnt no porblem i know how to do that. Its riping the svcd into an avi, I try Virtuadub (boht the normal and mp3 one) and its says pack sync error.

Any other programs that will convert a svcd to avi? or can anyone else figue out how to do it. I want to merge the parts of the svcd (its on 3 cd's yopu see) then put it on a dvd-r. If i could merge the mpgs or convert it to avi then merge the avi's i dont mind but please HELP any way you can

Are you using the virtuldubmod that supports mpeg2?

Or try dvd2avi. Crop if it is ws and save as avi. To get the audio choose save as project to get the mp2 that you can convert to mp2/wav with for example besweet.

But if you are converting to dvd I would recommend to instead frameserve with dvd2avi, open all svcd mpgs and then save as project and convert with tmpgenc www.dvdrhelp.com/mpeg2tovcd
