I'm just trying to convert an AVI to an MPEG file.

I did a search with "P3Package.dll" in it and found posts that just re-downloading TMPGEnc solved the problem of that error message.

But when I just now downloaded it again, STILL get the error message.

What can I do to get rid of that error and make TMPGEnc work.
    (I own the pay...PLUS version)

I use a Dazzle capturing system that Only lets me capture into Mpeg. So that is all I work with. I never do any DV/AVI video.....

  2. Make sure when you uninstall TMPGEnc that you get all remnants of it (file search for TMPGE,Pegasys etc). Then reinstall.

  3. I had a very simular problem, go to enviromental setting (under options), then click on the AVAPI plug in tab. Right click on the Directshow multimeda file reader and give it a higer priority. 2 would be the best.
