HI, this problem has creeped back up on me on my new Inspiron 1525 laptop

I've been using FairuseWizard succesfully for a few years now without any problems
In fact I use it on several other desktop machines with no problems.

For some reason , on this laptop, I keep getting "could not load codec settings" in all my coversions

Naturally, I was not sure if its due to the audio or video codec.
So I tried to remove all codecs fromDevice manager and in the registry.
I then downloaded and installed version 6.3 of the all in one codec pack from freecodecs.com

I have tried with an old 2.6 version, 2.8 and 2.9 portable, along with 2.9 trial freshly downloaded from the author site.

Any ideas / utilities I can run to look for the missing/offending codec?

First I forgot to say I use FairuseWizard 2.6.
I get this codec error message (on the page where all the video/audio and resolution settings are set), the moment I hit the NEXT button.

  4. I'm confused. I recently bought FairUse Wizard, and the version I got was 2.11. Yet, I have seen version 2.9 on the net, and someone here mentioned version 2.6. Now, there seems to be a version 3D, but it still looks like it is a version 2.x. What's the story???

Also, I am getting the 'codecs' error mentioned. It use to work! Any help would be appreciated.

    Cheers
