Is it possible to convert asf files into mpegs, or any other file that can be burned onto a VCD? If so, which format would you recomend converting it into. Sorry if this is a question with a very obvious answer. I am a complete newbie to working with video.

  2. open your file with tmpgenc then encode

  3. There is an asf codec that you need to install first. I think its in the tools section somewhere. When I tried this, I had lots of audio sync problems.

  4. Sync problems vary from user to user & system to system, but try this:

    1) Load avi/asf in VDub
    2) Extract/save audio to wav file
    3) use tooLame to encode wav file to MP2
    4) Use TMPGenc/CCE/etc. to encode VIDEO ONLY
    5) Mux w/ bbMPEG
