  1. I just want to ask if anyone know how the filter works. What is the best setting for for filter in TMPGEnc. there is setting like range, time axis etc.

    It kind of sounds like he's talking about the Noise Reduction filter, with Range, and Time Axis...

    The Noise Reduction filter blurs the image to remove noise. The stronger you set the filter, the more it blurs the image. If my file has a lot (and I mean a lot) of noise I set it to Still Picture 85, Range 1, and Time Axis 85, then I also use the Sharpen Edge filter set at Horizontal 2, Vertical 4. Otherwise, if your source only has a little noise, the default setting of 20, 1, 20 will usually be OK. Just be sure to check the "High Quality Mode" box at the bottom of the Noise Reduction screen.
