Ok, I have a problem. I used to encode movies all the time with TMPG only. Did not need any programs like Virtual Dub, etc. However, I am unsure of the best settings to use when encoding TMD releases in .avi format. The encode process goes without error, however, when I attempt to play it on my DVD it is jerky (both picture and sound). It seems most of the avi's are the following:
352x288, 56kbps bitrate, mpeg layer 3, 12 frames per second, 44kbps data rate, 24 bit sample size, and ms-mpeg4 v3 video compression.
The others are the same for everything except they are 14 frames per second. Please help
