    Hi,

    I'm considering of giving some 4X -R media a try so i would like to ask those who already have some experience with these which -R media DEFINATELY burns at 4X with Sony DRU500A/X and which burning program is recommended ?

    The Riteks seem to work fine as long as you have the original firmware version that's my experience so far.

    Which firmware? I tested two discs: fw 1.0f started 4x but soon dropped to 2x, fw 2.0f didn't eve try to burn 4x but started 2x from the start

    I have burned Ritek, Verbatim, and TDK 4x media and all woked fine.
