I have a 2 CD Xvid codec AC3 film I would like to convert to SxVCD - I have already managed to encode CD1 using only TMPGenc but after a system reinstall I cannot get CD2 to encode with sound.
As I have already done CD1 I know this can be done with TMPGenc, but I have tried messing with TMPGenc but to no avail.
I think the problem lies with Moonlight Odio not installing correctly as Gspot shows the Dolby Labs AC3 codec as NOT installed - I have tried many times to install it correctly - but GSPOT is able to render the file using AVI splitter.
Am I on the right path here ? I know TMPGenc can encode AC3 as CD1 is done.
Can someone please give me a nudge in the right direction here ?

Firstly may I offer my apologies for posting in the wrong forum.
Secondly I now have TMPGenc encoding AC3 audio - I don't know what has happened but it worked -
Glad you got it to work.
You'd most likely want to join the avi's in Vdub, and extract the ac3 (as a wav - only by name) - rename the extension to ac3 and load it into Headac3he.....

VCD and SVCD do not support an AC3 soundtrack, even if you did manage to do so, no DVD will be capable of playing such a format. SVCD does support 5.1 audio track, but not AC3 Dolby Digital, it has it's own format based on MPEG compression.

Converting the wav to Mpeg-1 Layer II in tmpgenc will keep the Pro Logic sound.
Dolby Surround Downmix works fine with multi-channel audio but if your source is already 2ch such as DD2/0 you might need to turn it off.korth
