TMPGEnc plus & ac3

can anyone tell me why TMPGEnc plus wont accept ac3 audio as I get this error in mpeg tools/simple multiplex
the video is mpeg1

What version of TMPGEnc do you have. Version 4 has ac3 plug in unclouded, for version 3 it was a payed plug in (extra).

Well I have a real old version 2.58.44.152 whats latest version now

Highway robbery for something that should've came with TMPGEnc Plus in the first place.

AFAIK, MPEG-1 video in an MPG container accepts only MPEG-1 Audio.

do you mean I use mp3 audio or how do I convert to mpeg-1. so what program converts audio to mpeg-1

FYI,it won't accept ac3 in an mpg file but will as part of avi file. In my expierence Version 2.50 did accept ac3 in an mpg. If you could find it,it might work.
