I have a 2.66GHz Pentium 4 with 512MB of PC1066 RDRAM and use a 16X Samsung DVD-rom drive when converting my DVD-9 to DVD-5 using DVD2ONE. My computer gets REALLY slow while running DVD2ONE to the point where it takes about 30 seconds for a program to pop up. Is this normal?

Why would you want to open another program while you're running DVD2one? Your CPU is probably running at 99% while rencoding. The best thing to do is turn off all apps and leave the computer alone until it's finished.
Got my retirement plans all set. Looks like I only have to work another 5 years after I die........ -
Yes DVD programs that convert are VERY processor intensive. If you had 3ghz it would use all of that also. Its not unusal in the least. Its also why I own more then one machine, cause between that and gaming you can never have enough.
