  1. I will appreciate if you can assist me in connecting my camcorder to the TV
Card. I have got Win TV PC! FM card installed in my PC. I have gpot 128 RAM
and Athlon processor(500MHz). I am using Win ME. I can see all the chamnnels
from my sky digi box as well as others BBC1, ITV, --. I am trying to connect
my camcorder to the TV card in my PC. I am using the video composite
connection to the video output on the camcorder and audio to audio.
I go the the channel config window and choose S-video and assign a channel
number. I can hear the voice from the camcoder but no picture, just the blue
screen. Do I need to setup any thing? What am I doing wrong.

    Kind Regards

What cable is it ??? assign channel number ??
Select 'composite' for your source signal if RCA cable
Select S-video only if using S-video cable from camera
external input should not be related to TV channel 'numbers'

also you may need to select 'overlay' or 'preview' in your capture program

Yes like its already been said, select composite. There is no setup or tune for this, just select it and the picture should be there, dont change the default PAl BGHIDK type.

You can assign any channel number in the sute if you want it in there, but its also available without a number.

Also check out http://www.hauppauge.de/nanodvr.htm this program can be used to capture to VCD.mpeg !

  5. Under display you have Tuner,Ext1,Ext2,S-Video,using composite you select Ext1 for the likes of camcorders and vcr's with Win TV Theater it may also be the same for Win Tv.

  6. I have tried selecting EX1, but still no picture, only the sound. I believe I need to choose Svideo composite as this is where I have connected the video output from the camcorder to. Has somebody else have the same card as mine and have succefully connected the camcorder. I have voodoo 3000 graphic card and I am using the 1152 by 864 pixels using High Color(16 bit).
I am not sure what else I can try.May be the S video composite I am using is not the correct one. I am using the one I received with my Dell Laptop. It fits OK so I assume it is the standard one.
I have updated the WinTv driver as well.
Any body have any more suggestions, youe help will be much appreciated.

    Cheers
