  1. I would like to backup an anime DVD, that contain 3 main vobs where are located the episodes and 1 vob with an extra that I want to keep
    I rip them with their ifo & bup files
    what do I do after that ?
    I only wantto keep the episodes and the extra
    No menus, just want playback

    Just hav 2 transcode them & burn ????

    PS: I would like to use DVD2one coz if I use DVD Shrink, there will be a vob where I ll hav to use 1 more compression level than the other for the eps and I want to keep the same quality for all eps.

    Put all VOBS and IFO's except VIDEO_TS files in one diredtory and use DVDToolbox to create VIDEO_TS.IFO. You will be able to select the titiles with your remote.

    Hope this helps.

  3. All episodes are contain in 3 set of vobs

    VTS_01_1.VOB -> VTS_01_3.VOB
    VTS_02_1.VOB -> VTS_02_3.VOB
    VTS_03_1.VOB -> VTS_03_2.VOB

    is it gonna work if I rename them to

    VTS_01_1.VOB -> VTS_01_8.VOB

    & create IFO with IFO Edit ?
    then burn it in VIDEO_TS folder

    will it play on Home DVD players when I'll put it in the tray ?

    Transcode the episodes with DVD2one, total is not to exceed 4.36 Gig and rename

    VTS_01_1.VOB-> VTS_O1_X.VOB + IFO & BUP
    VTS_02_1.VOB-> VTS_02_X.VOB + IFO & BUP
    VTS_03_1.VOB-> VTS_03_X.VOB + IFO & BUP

    Put files in same folder without the VIDEO_TS files and run DVDtoolbox.
    Enter source = folder with movies and choose 'Create video manger(VIDEO_TS.IFO)'.

    The result will be a VIDEO_TS file that recognizes all three titles that can be accessed with the remote.

    Hope this helps.

  6. well i am triying to do it
    this process with the "sex in the city dvd season 1 episodes 1 to 6"
    and i can't understand well the section of rename files

    i have 6 episodes with files...transcoded one by one & finally i have:

    VTS_01_0.IFO
    VTS_01_0.BUP
    VTS_01_1.VOB
    in every one of the six folders
    when i put all in one folder, i try rename
    VTS_01_1.VOB,....until VTS_01_6
    VTS_01_0.IFO,.....until VTS_01_5
    VTS_01_0.BUP,,...until VTS_01_5

    but Nero says "The following files may not reside in the VIDEO_TS directory of a DVD-Video Compilation: VTS_01_1.BUP,VTS_01_1.IFO, VTS_01_2.BUP,VTS_01_2.IFO, VTS_01_3.BUP,VTS_01_3.IFO, VTS_01_4.BUP,VTS_01_4.IFO, VTS_01_5.BUP,VTS_01_5.IFO

    Allowed Files are:
    VIDEO_TS.IFO,VIDEO_TS.VOB,VIDEO_TS.BUP,VTS_nn_0.IF O, VTS_nn_0.VOB, VTS_nn_0.BUP, VTS_nn_m.vob"

    Somebody can help me & say me what I doing mistakly?

  7. i made another try:
    making names of if & bup's:
    vts_01_0,vts_02_0,........,vts_06_0

    and vob's files equal (NO CHANGE):
    vts_01_1,VS_01_2,.........,VTS_01_6

    then, i run dvdtoolbox to re-generate the video_ts files
    and nero says:
    DVD-files reallocation failed...the resulting DVD might be unplayable...

    help.....

  8. Ther are tons of methods to do this but ive found that the easiest way is:

    rip with smartripper one chapter at a time selecting only one episode. create a new directory for each chapter. smartripper will produce one or two vobs for each chapter.

    i generally framserv them with dvd2avi to tmpgenc.
