I have recently been trying to encode an xvid...which is a .avi file....the audio worked perfect, and i split the movie. The first part encoded fine...and when i go to encode the second part, it will start, then when it has encoded 167 frames, it gives me an error, saying out of scan line or out of range at (336)...anyone know why this occurs and what i can do to fix this error...please help....im using the latest TMPGEnc and Virtualdub

Probably a bad frame or two in the AVI. Scan for, and remove bad frames with VDub before encoding. Guides on this under HOW TO.

This (the third option) will bot find and remove the offending frames. If you're downloading AVIs from the web (or maybe some P2P network?) you'll find that most files will suffer from bad frames among other problems. Any successful conversion of such files starts with a bad frames scan!
