Hi,
I've just bought a Samsung S325 player, and I've got a slight problem: I cannot use the remote control from my couch!
The reason is that the remote control for this player doesn't work when the player is located in a too big angle from the player. Not very surprising since the player's remote control receiver is behind something that looks like a mirror (new for S325/S425). My player is more than 2 meters to the side of the TV (where the amplifier is), so it's quite an angle. I will try to exchange my player against another Samsung player that doesn't have this problem.
Is there anyone who knows if earlier models of Samsung are affected too e.g. S224/S324/S225? I have noted that these players have a normal dark glass in front of the remote control receiver instead of the mirror on S325/S425, and that might make a difference.

Al though it is not ideal I have noticed that my Samsung remote works at a VERY acute angle - approx 20 degrees - but whether this is through reflection I cannot say.
