  1. i was wondering if maybe i was missing files or soemthing. like a startup file or something. because i try to play a dvdr on a dvd player and on alll 4 it doesnt work but i know they all support it. if i go to the disc on my comp. and click on the file say: vts_01-1 it begins to play.... i have all of those on the disc. as well as these files:

    video_ts.BUP
    video_ts.ifo
    VTS_01_1.bup
    VTS_01_1.IFO
and then the five >VOB movie files

  2. You have burnt it in the correct file structure, I take it ?

For example, if you have burnt it in ISO format, it won't work on a standalone, which is expecting a UDF/ISO bridge and the files to be in the correct order within the disc's structure.

What application did you use to author the disc ?

  3. ok first i used dvddecrypter. then i split or when cut the file size down by using dvdtoolbox. then i copied thos files into nero and burnt it to a dvd. i just brought over all the video files. i keep hearing about this udf thing but i'm not sure what that is or how to find out if i did it that way or not. i mean i am assuming is just an ISO cause i saved it after i burnt it and it says ISO_DVD. if u can help with info on how to get it to UDF?ISO i would be greatly eppreciated. thanks

  4. I'm not familiar with DVD Toolbox having never used it myself, but I'm assuming that's sound - if there are any DVDT users out there who can comment, please chip in !

I use Nero for my burning too and have never had any problems with it at all (although saying that, I do appear to be in the minority !).

In my case I just open a new project, select DVD Video from the options and copy the IFO, BUP and VOB files into the VIDEO_TS folder that it creates for you on the left hand side. I do not worry about changing any pf the UDF / ISO options that everyone else seems to have to do, because the default just - and always has - works.

Try using the standard DVD project option in Nero and see how you go. Any probs, post back !
