  1. have a problem with trying to read a DVD-R on my PC using Sony DRU500A.

Explorer, Power DVD or DVD Decrypter shows no files found on the disk.
Although this DVD-R plays on my set top player the PC displays the disk as blank.

I wonder if it is a media problem.

I bought a fresh batch of EMTEC DVD-R from staples (UK) yesterday, I've used these reliably for sometime.

I burnt a home movie using Ulead DVD Workshop (as usual).
I want to delete all my supporting avi files and use Decryter for making copies for family members.

I have tried other dvd-r disks and burnt in the same way and decryter recognises them.

My question - Why would decryter not be able to read a DVD-R when my Dansai player does?

    Thanks in advance.

    The disc is UDF-only format.
It has no ISO table, which is what a PC reads.

DVDs readable in PC have UDF/ISO Bridge formatting.

To play disc in PC, start PowerDVD BEFORE inserting the disc. The just hit PLAY in PowerDVD.
I'm not online anymore. Ask BALDRICK, LORDSMURF or SATSTORM for help. PM's are ignored.
