  1. My graphics card allows for tv out but I have not done so in the past but when I do my capps and preview on the monitor I know it does not do them justice so I wanna use my TV as sort of video display....Couple of questions

    1. How the hell do you set it up do I just plug the svideo cable into the tv and hit AV channel???

    2. If what is being sent out to the TV is exactly whats on the monitor then won't the quality be the same or will it look like it's supposed to on TV what I mean iswill the end result on your DVD player look the same??
How long could we maintain? I wondered. How long until one of us starts raving and jabbering at this boy? What will he think then?

Depends on what type of Card you have...some are plug-n-play TV Out and some need to tweeking and some utilites to work right.

As for looking the same not really since your monitor and your TV are 2 different displays.

  3. plug in the cable (s-video or rca).
    right click on the desktop/properties.
    settings tab
most cards can display upto 800x600 newer cards higher like 1024x etc.
change your res so it works.
go to advanced button under the settings tab.
find the tab where you can change the display of your screen.
TV display on a normal analog tv will be more blurry and you wont beable to read text very well. thats not because of the card...because of the tv. i have not seen how it looks on any other tv or display such as projector or any plasma tvs etc. It should look the same if not similar to how your dvd may play it as long as you have aspect ratios right(software player may display differently compared to dvd player w/certain aspect ratios...who knows).

If you have a nVidia card, I'd recommend TvTool for easy TV out operation.
