Have seen several comments on using the 'preview' function in TMPGEnc using the various setting & filters before doing the actual conversion.
I've tried many, many, settings & filters on 'avi files and they all look pretty much the same in the TMPGEnc 'preview' window.
Is it even possible to view a 'fair' representation of an 'avi file being set up for playback on a standalone DVD player using the NTSC VCD standards on a PC monitor?
Even my 'avi files set up for playback on my PC with a 320x240 & 1:1 VGA setting still produces a mediocre 'preview' image. Yet when actually converted to 'mpg & played back on my PC, the image is crystal clear.
Is there some underlying cause why this function may be not operating correctly?
