    when ever i load a certain type of file i guess it tells me "Mpeg import filter - pack synchronization error"...can anyone tell me what this is, and how i can get around it.

    Go to the tools section on the left and select Virtualdub-MPEG2 then download VirtualDub-MPEG2 v1.5.1. It's a modified version of VirtualDub and will allow you to import Mpeg2 and VOB files.
