    What can I use to strip out audio from a mpeg file that won't open in VDub? Open error is 'MPEG import filter: pack sync error'

    Try TMPGenc - if you want to retain the audio format use the MPEG TOOLS to demux the files, or if you want to extract the audio as a WAV file use the File -> Output to file -> WAV File option.

    Hi,

    Just thought I'd post a follow up. I found Virtual Dub 1.5.1 (mpeg-2) to work great!! I can even pull out pieces of the audio to make song tracks.
