Problems with Converting AVI to Mpeg

Ok I am a Newbie when it comes to converting and then burning DVD's so please bare with me!, but I have severael DIVX movies that are in AVI format that I am trying to convert over to, so then I can eventually burn to DVD, so far I have been only successful with burning one on my DVD Burner, the problem I am running into after converting the file over using TMPGENC I then try to burn the MPEG Movie using the program *MY DVD*, the file is within the size of a DVD(about 3.7 GB) so it can fit on a DVD, but then when I try to import that Movie into *MY DVD* the Burn option is NOT available and does not give a reason on why NOT it is available, I followed the exact steps in what I did for the first one I did successfully burn to a DVD and even went lower on the BITRATE to make it even smaller but still does not want to burn?, ANY help or advice on this would be VERY HELPFUL and appreciate, Thanks in advance!!!

MyDVD converts the Audio to 48Khz PCM.Use ifoedit for authoring:demux the mgpg stream getting an m2v and m2p file.Use these in ifoedit.
