    after converting a DIVX AVI file to SVCD using TMPGEnc i get a set of Squares bouncing round the image, is this a form of protection and if so can it be removed?

    I had the same, I think it is not TMPEnc, I think it is a codec that you have installed in your system. Maybe angelcodec, or something.
