I'm getting the "Improper VBR" message in VDUB and when I follow the guides out there to fix this I always seem to have a problem with playback of my movie. I'd like to try Goldwave or some other prog. that can deal with VBR properly. If any one has a guide for extracting WAV from AVI in Goldwave or a similar prog., please post it. Thanks.

One of the easier things to do:
    1. Launch Gold Wave. Select Open.

    2. Select your original video file, select open.

    3. Select Save As. Ensure your file type is .wav. Select Save As -- Voilá!

Does anyone know how I change from 48000hz to 44100hz for NTSC? And, will doing this in goldwave cause a problem when using the WAV in TMPGEnc?

  4. You can do that in VDUB.
    Select video direct stream copy
    select audio full processing mode
select conversion (audio) and in there you can change that.

  5. You can also conert to 44100 with Bsweet Gui and BeSweet by checking the box Force 44100
    BeSweet http://www.doom9.org/Soft21/Audio/BeSweetv1.4.zip

And the Gui for it so you aint gotta type in command lines http://www.doom9.org/Soft21/Audio/BeSweetGUI0.6b69.zip

psThere are BeSweet guides either here or at doom9, but the proggie is real easy to figure out if you use the Gui

In Goldwave under Effects, select Resample.
