Hi- I've been trying to backup my copy of "Jay And Silent Bob Strike Back"and have run into a problem. I ripped the main movie files with the newest version of DVDDecrypter, then ran DVD2AVI v1.76. I then create a AviSynth script to keep the video 2.35:1 (I'm using Avisynth v.2.07 w a MPEG2DEC plugin). When I view the avs script, the movie has some spots (mainly towards the last half) that are a little "pixelated". The vidoe dosen't jump, but it gets a little rough in some spots. I immediately figured it was due to the original DVD having a few light scratches, so I borrowed a new copy from a friend. I went through the same steps, and viewed the new video, only to find it was EXACTLY the same. I could see the exact same problems in the exact same spots, with two seperate videos ripped from two seperate DVD's.
I'm guessing the problem is either with My DVD2AVI settings or version, or my AviSynth version or plugin. My video settings with DVD2AVI are: 32-bit SSE MMX,Forced Film,YUV 4:2:2,PC Scale. My Avisynth Script reads: LoadPlugin("...\MPEG2DEC.dll") mpeg2source("...Movie.d2v") bicubicresize(720,360,0,0) addborders(0,60,0,60)
I doubt AviSynth is causing the problem because I have viewed both d2v's without the resizing and borders in the scripts, and have still seen the same rough spots. I've tryed different settings and versions of DVD2AVI, with no change. Mabye the problem was a setting when I ripped the movie.I'll check DVD Decrypter's settings, and may try Smart Ripper. Any advice would really help! Thanks
