Bad news Kai.
I just finished transcoding a movie with the latest version of forty-two and everything went well except still no .iso image. My temp folder has a .mpg file remaining in it though.
Forty-two did say it was complete and I did double check the version.
Any suggestions?

Hrm.
OK...I'll see if bilestye can look into this, as he has the fastest machine among us.

Well my 2nd test also failed to create the .iso image. It also left behind a 1-DVD_TITLE.mpg file in the temp folder.
Settings:
Both tests were run on a TiBook 1GHz w/ 768MB ram and 10.2.4
Both of these tests were transcoding to DVD, custom rates set, VBR unchecked, and plenty of space on the destination drive (external firewire, not the boot drive).
The destination folder was different than the temp folder.
The first disc was The Bourne Identity and the second was Monsters Ball.
The Bourne Identity custom rate = 8000
Monsters Ball custom rate = 100 (for quick completion)
Let me now if you need any further settings in order to pin this down.
Thanks,

Just got done ripping a dvd to svcd, (which took an strange 14 hours to do, not sure why, might be the dvd, normally only takes 7 or so at the settings i use) anyhow, all seemed to go well, EXCEPT....heh...i only got one set of .bin/.cue files (in the burnwhatsinhere). i watched what i had, and appears to only be half, or a third, anyhow, only PART of the movie..
i read in another post someone else had that problem, anybody else?
other than that..looks good.
working on a Dual 500 G4, OSX10.2.4
Gonna test another movie tonight.

Same problem
Updated to 1.5.2b and the dvd to svcd workes fine except only 1 bin/cue
Mine did only take 5 hours which doesnt help with the extended time you had. I noticed the .mpeg in the temp folder was the entire movie, so i cut it in pieces and packaged it as SVCD.
ITs the same as the .bin/.cue from 42, except i have all the parts.
At least its working and not expired! and the temp file can be split and packaged as an SVCD.
thanks all -
Hello Kai,
I just completed a third test and this time it worked. I did get an .iso image file.
The only difference was that the destination directory and the temp directory were on my boot drive. All other settings were the same.
I hope that this helps narrow it down.
