Hey all,
I just converted my first xvid to dvd and it has sound already encoded with it, but I heard that I should extract the audio out of it so I did. When I re-encode the movie to dvd I get a great picture but no sound. I am using TEMPGEnc to convert the video and I am using VirtualDub for the audio and finally I use Ulead DVD Moviefactory for the final project. The audio is converted to wav and I followed the guides in this website but I still dont get it. Any help would be greatly apreciated.

hey guys thanks for the info, but musher your way sounds a little tricky for the new person, but if all else fails i will try. Ennis the compression says Fraunhuofer IIS MPEG layer 3 codec. does that help?
