    hi i'm new to this and i cant get any sound when i've converted using winavi and burnt to disc there no sound what codecs do i need cus it driving me mad thanx

    Don't use WinAVI ?

    Start with posting a mediainfo tree view of the source video and the output from WinAVI so we can see what you had and what you changed it to. From there we can help you find codecs etc.

    But frankly there are far better options than WinAVI
