  1. Hi All

Just wondering about 800MB CDR Disks. I have a SAMSUNG CDRW/DVD SM-332B drive.

I was just wondering if 800MB Disks can be used in it? 700's work fine, I just need to confirm that it will take 800's before I go spending any money.

    Cheers and thanks

  2. Don't know about your specific drive, but many vendors are saying keep away from that media as they are not supported. That dosen't mean it won't work, but the vendor won't supply support if using them.

  3. i have been using 970mb cd-r(overburn) for the past year on my lite-on uisng nero to author and burn my svcd movies. i use ridata that i bought from supermediastore. with these cd-r's my movies come out looking richer and crispier due to the fact that they tend to hold more date....about 170-190mb extra. if ur samsung cant handle the media, then u should try to buy a lite-on cd burner , as these bad boys will burn any type of media that u throw at it, except dvd-r(of course...hehe). or before u buy them, u should look at the compatiblity list that some store sites have on their products. i hope this helps.

is this the Lite On ROM your reffering to? http://shop.store.yahoo.com/a-c/litinide52cd.html

It sounds like I shoud go to my local computer shop and go and see if they have any 800MB disks in stock. Just a matter of testing by the sounds of it.

I also had not realised that there were disks of the 900+MB Capacity.

    Thats even more interesting lol.

I will go and get some ideas of costs looking at some websites.

    Cheers

  5. not quite that one..i have the 40x12x48x which is awesome. i would highly recommend this brand to any who is burning cd-r's. also i dont think local stores have 870mb cd-r's as their not really in high demand. the only place u will find them is online. there actually 870mb but with the overburnig they jump to 970-990mb using nero or another comparible burning software.
