  1. I have managed to download and join together 2 SVCD's using tmpgenc (vdub gave an mpeg import filter error) however when I then try to open either the individual parts, or the combined movie, in tmpgenc it tells me it is not supported. Can anyone help, can I just burn it to dvd-r or make an image then burn it
    Please somene help

Try first to change the codec reader settings in TMPGEnc under Option->Environmental settings->VFAPI plug-in and right click on the DirectShow Multimedia File Reader and increase the priority to 1 or 2 and try open the video.
If that does not help be sure that you have installed the MPEG-2 codec on your computer.

    Hope That Helps!!! :P
