    My windows movie maker does not recognise my digital video camera as being connected.
    I have a sony hc27 running on play/edit - connected with 4 pin to 4 pin i link.
    i am using windows vista on a hp laptop - sorry to ask such a newbie question

    Is this the first time you connect the camcorder? Or isn't it recognizing any more?

    It was the first time - its been a bloody nightmare trying to find right cables - and now i have lost the AC lead - so i am waiting for that now!!
