    I have a dvd and i am trying to rip the files with smart ripper, but some of the files are locked. how do i unlock them???

    Easiest thing to do is use a software DVD player like WinDVD, let it start playing the movie, then pause it - then run Smartripper (or DVDDecryptor).

    Why does this happens - beats the heck out of me, but it happens to me every once in a while, and this works around the problem .

    play the movie in powerdvd or something that should unlock you dvd. or the dvd could be bad or damaged and thats why the files are locked..
