I suspect this is a codec issue, but I've been unable to solve it...
I downloaded an MPEG of a TV episode, and I want to convert it and burn it on DVD. Odd thing is, Virtualdub shows it as being 34 min long, and when I convert it (strip wav and make DVD with DVD Workshop), the episode is only 34 minutes long and plays significantly faster than it should (like having it on slight fast-forward).
On the other hand, when I open the original file in WinDVD, the episode plays fine at 43 minutes long (the appropriate length).
As I stated earlier, I suspect this is a codec issue. Should I just install codecs until Virtualdub interprets the file correctly? Anyone else seen this issue?
Thanks for your help.

I would appreciate any help on this. I pretty sure the original file is intended to be an SVCD.
Thanks,
Jim
