I upgraded last night to DirectX 9 to get the new Microsoft DV Codec that does not deinterlace Type 1 DV Video. That part went fine. I then burned a DVD-R of my nicely encoded video and MPEG audio in Ulead MovieFactory basically like I have been doing all week. No audio on the DVD-R. Audio plays fine in MF2. I am using MF2 to combine the video only stream and MPEG audio stream by using the replace audio option. I use system restore to roll back to DirectX 8.1. I use the exact same project and still get a disk with no audio. The other differences are no menu and play my first clip first from what I have done previously.
So perhaps the problem is not DirectX 9 related or system restore really doesn't. Any experiences with this would be appreciated. I will let you know what else I find.

I'm thinking the issue may be MovieFactory. I do not get any audio when I select the video clip to play first, replace the audio, and no menus. Whan I have one clip, replace audio, one menu, I get audio.
