I'm new so forgive my dumb questions.
I'm buying a DVD burner and was wondering about putting VCD's or Xvcd's on a dvd. How many min can I get on one dvd? And can I make more min with Xvcd's?

It basically is dependent on the bit rate you choose, which translate to the quality of the material. If they are currently VCDs, you could probaly get 4+ hours at that low of a quality.
To get great quality, you can normally get between 1 and 2 hours of video on each DVD.
"And can I make more min with Xvcd's?"
I don't understand that part of the question. -
I should of explained that better.
With Xvcd's u can have more than 80 min on a standard cd just with a lower bit rate. I figure u can do the same with DVD's.
Thx for the answer. -
Your are correct in your assumption. You can have more video on a DVD by lowering the bitrate just as you would with you VCDs.
Take care. -
You should be able to get about 7.5 hours at Standard VCD bitrate of 1150000 BPS.
There's a link to my bitrate calculator in my Sig. use the Reverse Calc function; fill in the blanks and hit calculate.
