Please Help
I have an avi which when started playing the sound is in sync with the picture. As the picture progresses the Audio gradually goes out of sync.
I have tried converting to VCD Format with TMP but still have the same issue.
Does anyone have any suggestions to correct the issue or at least explain why this is happening.
Any Posts would be appreciated

What do you use to play the AVI? I've found that a movie that desyncs horribly in ZoomPlayer plays fine in DivX Player and vice versa. Try to separate the audio stream to WAV from the video with VDub (see guides) and use this WAV as audio source when encoding.
Also, make sure to encode at the same frame rate as the AVI.

I'm a bit off the track had I the same problem doing a rip of a music video DVD.
The audio got progressively worse as the song went on. It got to a point where playback stoppedf or a second, after about 3 mins, then continued with sync fixed.
Never was able to find a fix the problem. it only happens during playback on my standalone player. PC playback is fine.
Never happened with my movie rips.
This DVDdecrypt ripped the audio from this partcular DVD as an mpeg audio file even though I selected "decode to WAV"
Sorry, I couldn't help.
