Im quit new to viedo editing and have not read any books on how to use Premiere 6 yet. But I have a Samsung miniDV camera and captured 3 small clips (no bigger than 800mb each). I then set up 2 transistions and some text. I used the video for windows 640x480 template NTSC. All i want to do is render the movie and convert it with TMPGE to a VCD or SVCD so i can burn it to a DVD. My problem is that it took 8 hours to render a 6 minute movie. Is this normal? Also, the quality was terrible - colors would often flicker, and was not very sharp. Plus one of my transitions was not made. My PC has a 900mhz processor 256mb-133 ram, two ata100 harddrives (1 system, and 1 video). Could some one help. Maybe give me a good starting point with Premiere 6 settings to accomplish my goal. Thanks...
